«Between the pinewoods and the River Cega…»

The workshop is situated at the bottom of the garden belonging to my house in Viana de Cega (Valladolid). It is a place of peace and tranquillity which serves as inspiration for my work.

The small village of Viana de Cega is surrounded by pinewoods and is on the banks of the River Cega. It has been my place of work since April 1996. Before that I had used other workshops until I managed to build my own workshop here, where I work alone.


At the entrance to the workshop there is an inscription which reads «Aquí Se Hacen Santos», or ‘Saints are made here’, illustrating the special love I feel for my art.
